Neuro-Linguistic Programming Filters

When we process input information, the data is processed by 3 filters:

Deletion – All information not required is deleted before processing. The brain only needs ‘news of difference’, i.e., What has changed.

Distortion – The brain can amplify (distort) data. This is where our creativity comes from. It can also give us phobias when we make things bigger than they really are.

Generalization – the brain generalizes based on past experiences. Even though there are many different types of chairs, you know that they are all used for sitting on.

What if we could train our brains to distinguish between them and control them?
